Hey Reader,
Let me paint you a picture: a laundry mountain so high, I considered planting a cute little flower on top. I did start folding once...then twice... then someone fell down and started cry, then someone else needed a snack, and then I somehow ended up vacuuming the couch crumbs for the 4th time that day instead.
So yeah, it’s been about 6 days. And guess what? We still have clean clothes. Just... not in drawers.
Motherhood is full of these little moments that feel messy, unfinished, or like we’re “behind” somehow.
But here’s what I’ve learned (and maybe you need the reminder too): getting everything done is not the measure of a good mom.
You are doing enough — even if the dishes are still in the sink and the only thing you’ve crossed off your to-do list is "keep small humans alive."
And in case no one told you this week: You don’t have to earn rest. You don’t have to be productive to be valuable. You’re allowed to laugh at the chaos and cry in it, too.
So here’s your permission slip to leave the laundry alone a little longer and do something for you today — even if it’s just drinking your coffee while it’s still warm (or at least... room temp).
Sorry for taking so long to get my emails started back up again, but I hope this one serves as a reminder we all need to hear at times.
With you always,
P.S. What’s one “mom moment” you’ve had this week that made you laugh, cry, or feel very seen? Hit reply and tell me — I read every one!
